Susan Leiter's life reads like a rich tapestry of dance - diverse, colorful and exciting. Teaching for over 30 years, Susan has been trained in all levels and styles of both Latin and Smooth dances (including performance techniques and choreography). She has competed (and placed) professionally (and with students) in national and world level competitions including the United States Ballroom Championships and the World Professional Smooth and Latin Ballroom Dance Championships held at the Felt Forum at Madison Square Garden where she ranked in the top 8 of the world's 57 best professional teams. Today she passes these skills on to a variety of students (all ages and all levels) wanting to hone their techniques in both private and group settings. She organizes (and is the resident teacher at) Baltimore's two largest and most successful Salsa Nights, Salsa Uno @ ONE and Ritmo Noche @ Stadio where her classes are upwards of 80 people on any given night. Susan also wrote and taught the extracurricular Latin dance programs at Johns Hopkins University for 12 years. Her teaching skills are unsurpassable. She is patient, funny, and very good at explaining how to do what seem like impossible moves to even the most beginner students. With her passion for teaching and her commitment to the craft, she truly embodies the essence and soul of AliveWithDance. She can be reached anytime at spleiter@aol.com. She is available for private (for singles or couples) and group lessons, weddings (and various other special occassions), events and workshops. | ||||
